I believe that students learn best through by actively participating and applying knowledge to relevant situations and issues. Instruction should accommodate students’ varied learning styles and intelligence types to assist and encourage the path and pace by which they learn best. The student is the driving force behind every decision I make. Assessment should measure student knowledge, guide student development, and allow meaningful evaluation of the processes as well as the products of education. I believe in innovative educational opportunities that break the mold of traditional education. I believe that my role as a teacher includes being a mentor, motivator, and facilitator all in the effort to insure student learning and success. I am a visionary leader that wants to maximize learning in all students that I serve. As Les Brown states and I believe, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the stars.”In my spare time I love going to Billy Joel concerts!I enjoy every time it snows in Atlanta! I have a 17 year old daughter who is a senior this year so I am in the same boat as you staying inside and remaining safe! We are all in this together! BE SAFE. STAY SAFE. I am certified in Special Education, Health, PE, Family & Consumer Science, and Language Arts. I also have over 120 ESOL credit hours in order to teach English to Speakers of other Languages.

I have worked as a teacher for over 30 years. I am certified to teach all subject areas and have a deep understanding of various learning styles. I will work around your schedule as needed. I can be booked for multiple subjects. I am here to help you and your student. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me and we can work it out together.
