Bio

I'm a 17-year veteran educator specializing in grades K-3. I worked as a Tutor Shop tutor at Dolvin Elementary School from Aug '19- March '20, and I subbed at other Tutor Shop locations as well. I taught 2nd grade for 5 years at St. Martin's Episcopal School and tutored 1st-3rd graders 1-on-1 regularly. I taught 3rd grade for 3 years and kindergarten for 4 years for at King's Ridge Christian School. I taught 1st grade for 2 years and kindergarten for 2 years at Manning Oaks Elementary School, (Fulton County Schools). I taught 2nd grade for 1 year at Lawton Chiles Elementary School, (Hillsborough County Schools in Tampa. FL.) I chose not to teach this year due to Covid. I've been married a little over a year now and live in Duluth with my husband, Ed. His three children are with us half the week, (ages 12, 14, and 16), and have been in virtual school since mid-March.... so I understand your pain! I enjoy serving at my church, walking, yoga, doing research on Ancestry.com and just about any genre of dance.... (ballet, musical theater, hip-hop, salsa, bachata, etc.)

I hold a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Florida, 2001. *ESOL-endorsed, *Recently recertified in the state of Georgia, *Trained in Orton-Gillingham, *Served on the Diversity Team at St. Martins, *Attended The People of Color Conference, *Attended the Ron Clark Academy training.
